Itinerary
Day 1 — Marrakech → Aït Ben Haddou → Ouarzazate → Dades Gorge
Pick-up from your accommodation in Marrakech. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Visit the historic Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, then continue to Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses to reach Dades Gorge. Overnight stay in a riad or hotel.
Day 2 — Dades Gorge → Todra Gorges → Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, drive through the scenic Dades and Todra Gorges. Continue to Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara. Enjoy a camel trek at sunset and spend the night in a traditional Berber desert camp with dinner and music.
Day 3 — Merzouga Desert → Sunrise → Erfoud → Midelt
Wake early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. Return by camel to Merzouga, then drive toward Midelt, passing through Erfoud and small Berber villages. Overnight stay in a hotel or riad.
Day 4 — Midelt → Ifrane → Azrou → Fes
Travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping at Ifrane (the “Switzerland of Morocco”) and the cedar forests of Azrou. Arrive in Fes by evening and overnight in a local riad or hotel.
Day 5 — Fes Cultural Exploration
Spend the day exploring Fes, Morocco’s cultural and spiritual capital. Visit the famous medina, tanneries, artisan workshops, and historic landmarks. Conclude your 5-day adventure in Fes.
