Itinerary
Day 1 — Marrakech → Aït Ben Haddou → Ouarzazate → Dades Valley
Leave Marrakech early and cross the stunning High Atlas Mountains, stopping at scenic viewpoints. Visit the Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, one of Morocco’s most famous sites, and explore its earthen architecture. Continue to Ouarzazate and then to the Dades Valley, known for its lush landscapes and kasbahs. Dinner and overnight in a riad or guesthouse.
Day 2 — Dades Valley → Todra Gorges → Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, travel through the Todra Gorges, a spectacular canyon carved by the Todra River. Continue your journey to Merzouga, where you’ll ride camels through the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset. Arrive at your desert camp, enjoy a traditional dinner, live Berber music, and a night under a blanket of stars.
Day 3 — Merzouga → Rissani → Draa Valley → Ouarzazate
Wake early to watch the sunrise over the desert. After breakfast, ride back to Merzouga and visit Rissani, one of the oldest trading towns in the Sahara. Continue through the Draa Valley, lined with thousands of palm trees and ancient kasbahs. Arrive in Ouarzazate for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4 — Ouarzazate → Atlas Mountains → Marrakech
After breakfast, visit the Taourirt Kasbah or film studios in Ouarzazate. Then, cross the High Atlas Mountains again, enjoying scenic stops before arriving in Marrakech by evening, marking the end of your desert adventure.
